Today’s Gastronomically Good Gaff is the Salathai Restaurant in Bath. I haven’t eaten here before, but there is another one opposite in where I have, on several occasions.

The lunch menu is reasonably priced for a city with tourists, and £6.50 for one course with rice is possibly the cheapest ever. The som tam was not on the lunch menu but even so was still reasonably priced at £6.50. My only comment was that it was very sweet.

This restaurant ticks all my boxes and the 9.5 score is the highest I have awarded up to date.
